Linklater Voice Class - Freeing the Natural Voice

Give yourself the gift of voice!

Silver Spring Stage is offering a six week introductory voice class using the Linklater Voice Approach. This class is intended for anyone wishing to develop a greater freedom, flexibility, and confidence in their voice, whether they be actors, teachers, singers, or career professionals. Through a detailed progression of exercises, we will work on relaxation, physical awareness, alignment, breathing, resonance, and articulation.

The class will be held on Monday evenings from 7:30-10pm at Silver Spring Stage from Feb. 6, 2012 through March 12th. The cost of the class is $200. Deadline for registration is Feb. 1. Class size is limited.

Students should wear warm clothing with an elastic or draw string waistband, such as sweat pants.

The instructor: Natalie McManus, is a Designated Linklater Teacher, an Actor, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, and a Certified Forensics (Public Speaking) Coach, with over 25 years of experience. She teaches Theatre Voice & Speech at George Mason University.
