Silver Spring Stage is participating in
a ground breaking theatrical event for the Washington area on December
15th and 16th. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks
committed herself to writing one play per day for an entire year.
The plays comprise the cycle 365 DAYS/365 PLAYS. The world premiere
of this play cycle will be performed as a year-long national festival
in cities and communities around the country. From November 13,
2006 to November 12, 2007, over 600 theatres will create the largest
theatre collaboration in U.S. history. The council of theatres coordinating
the Washington event includes The Studio Theatre, Woolly Mammoth
Theatre Company, Round House Theatre, and Signature Theatre. The
Stage's week of plays will be presented at our theatre. Exact performance
dates and times have not yet been determined.
At 8:00 pm on December 15th and again at
