Norman has asked his sister-in-law, Anne, to sneak off with him for a dirty weekend. Anne asks Reg and Sarah to watch their ailing mother while she supposedly goes for a weekend by herself. When Sarah realizes the truth about Anne's dirty weekend it is turned into an unhappy family weekend at home. Sarah and Ruth try to tutor the slow on the uptake Tom on how to woo Anne away from Norman. Undaunted, Norman still tries to woo Anne and make a pass at Sarah as well. Norman's charm works in spurts, but in the end he is left alone by the three women he wanted to love.
